TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Eligibility:

  • A Theta Alpha Zeta member in Good Standing with Samford University and in Good Standing with Theta Alpha Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha (Undergraduate Brother). Disciplinary action within the chapter disqualifies applicants and can cause revoking

OR

  • A descendent of an alumnus in good standing of Theta Alpha Zeta who is an incoming student at Samford or current student in Good Standing with Samford University (Legacy Descendant)

 

Your Application Must Include:

  1. Completed Scholarship Form (Online, on this website)

  2. (Legacy Descendant only) Letter of Recommendation from a Samford Lambda Chi Alpha Alumni Member (non-related). Letter should include member’s full name, year of initiation, and/or zeta number (both if known)* (pdf preferred, docx, doc, & rtf accepted)

  3. Cumulative College GPA. If Entering Freshman, included Official High School Transcript with ACT and/or SAT score. (pdf, png, jpg)

  4. A new(current) letter of recommendation from a minister or church leader (preferred). Letters from a teacher or professor, school administrator, or coach will also be accepted. New means a letter not previously used in this application or for other purposes.* (pdf preferred, docx, doc, & rtf accepted)

  5. An Essay describing how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals while attending Samford. Essay should not exceed one(1) page. (pdf preferred, docx, doc, & rtf accepted)

  6. A resume listing all extra-curricular activities, describing any leadership roles. (pdf preferred, docx, doc, & rtf accepted)

  7. A recent color photograph of yourself (no-one else should be in the picture) (pdf, png, jpg)

  8. Scholarship and/or Award amounts from All sources (including your Samford Award/Discount). (pdf preferred, csv, excel, docx, doc, & rtf accepted)

 

Applications are due by September 15, 2022

 

*Letters of Recommendation should be sent FROM THE AUTHOR directly to the email address listed in the application process. Letters coming from the applicant will nullify application.

 

Submit completed application (item 1) along with items 3, 5, 6, 7, & 8 in the online format on this website. Your are advised to have them ready in individual files. You must submit ONE single time; not multiple addendums. After submission, additions and subtractions cannot be made It is your responsibility to confirm all items have been received.

 

Incomplete Applications will not be considered.
