Our National Food Drive & More
Internationally, all chapters of Lambda Chi Alpha are linked philanthropically by the fraternity's Food Drive (for more information see Food Drive under the Fraternity tab). Theta Alpha Zeta's annual volleyball tournament, Watermelon Festival, along with partnering events with Samford Athletics benefit this effort locally with the Salvation Army's Food Bank.
However, the chapter's involvement in the community goes beyond the North American Food Drive. Over the years we have raised funds and volunteered with local nonprofits such as Children's Hospital, Kid One Transport, American Cancer Society of Birmingham, Salvation Army, Brother Bryan Mission, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The brothers and associates of Samford's Lambda Chi Alpha are also some of the first to respond during times of natural disaster.
For more information about the community service and philanthropic efforts of Theta Alpha Zeta, contact the chapter's External Vice President.
